What is a LIT?
LIT stands for Leaders In Training
The course is an intensive, two week long, hands on training of the dymanics of Christian youth camping for people sixteen or older. One week is spent learning the non-counseling aspects of camp (i.e. archery, crafts, games, etc). The other week is spent in a cabin learning from a core counselor just how to be an effective camp counselor to youth. At the end of the course, each participant who successfully completes all the requirements of the course, receive a completion certificate.

What is an Apprentice?
An apprentice is one who is learning by practical experience under skilled workers a trade, art, or calling. The course is an intensive, three week long, hands on training of the dynamics of Christian youth camping for people who have completed the LIT course and would like to take the next step towards being on full time summer staff. You will work directly with the Program Director and summer staff. At the end of the course, each participant who successfully completes all the requirements of the course will receive a completion certificate.
