What is an L.I.T.?

  • L.I.T. stands for Leaders In Training.

  • The course is an intensive, two week long, hands on training of the dymanics of Christian youth camping for people sixteen or older.

  • One week is spent learning the non-counseling aspects of camp (i.e. archery, crafts, games, etc.)

  • The other week is spent in a cabin learning from a core counselor just how to be an effective camp counselor to youth.

  • At the end of the course, each participant who successfully completes all the requirements of the course, receive a completion certificate.

What is expected of the L.I.T.?

  • Attend and participate in all LIT training sessions and Bible studies.
  • Assist in program areas.
  • Maintain a personal quiet time.
  • Participate in program areas, games, and activities.
  • Set a good Christ-like example for the campers.
  • Obey all camp rules and policies.
