Registration is now open for Avalanche Retreats!
Avalanche Winter Retreat is designed to be an opportunity to unplug and get away for a weekend with other students. It is an opportunity to grow in your relationship with others and with God. With four chapel sessions, breakouts and small group discussions there are many opportunities to learn about God and faith. There are plenty of opportunities for fun and to be with friends!
Some activities that you can expect:
- Great worship and Bible teaching
- Good food
- Gym – basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, gaga ball
- Indoor climbing wall
- Broomball and dodgeball tournaments
- Ice bowling
- Tubing hill (weather permitting)
- Campfire donuts
- CocoHouse
- and much more!
Registration for our 2024 Avalanche Retreats will open on December 1, 2023.

Come experience God at one of our annual Winter Avalanche Retreats.
We are looking forward to having you at one of our Avalanche sessions this year! The following are step-by-step instructions on how to register your students, leaders, and how payments will operate.
Capacity Limits
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our capacity limits have changed from previous years. We will need to be extra cautious of the number of students and leaders that will be attending our Avalanche sessions. We ask that the group leader call our office at (218-426-3389) or email us at office@bigsandycamp.com with the number of students and leaders your group plans to bring. This needs to be done as soon as possible.
TroyAnn Nelson, our office manager is available the following days each week. Thanks for your patience with her responding to you as quickly as possible based upon these hours.
- Monday – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Tuesday – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Thursday – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Friday – 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

Log into UltraCamp (our registration software) and register your students by group. We will send out an email to all group leaders telling you how many (if any) additional spots there are available for each Avalanche session. Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
If you have two or less students that you want to register, please call our Office first to register these students.
Payment Information
Cost of 2020 Avalanche sessions is $114 for each student and $85 for leaders.
There is a $25 nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit per student and leader due at time of registration.
We prefer you write a check and send it in the mail.

Each leader will be responsible for overseeing that these forms get to their campers. Please have parents fill out the medical and COVID-19 health screening forms. The leaders will turn these in upon arrival for their session(s).
