Red hands and green hands are signs of changed lives!

Over the summer we hosted a couple desserts and we are planning for some more. It was a great opportunity to connect with former campers, former counselors, current campers, pretty much every category!
There were great stories of how people were impacted during their time at camp and how people saw other lives impacted. One parent shared that their son didn’t really want to go to camp but ended up enjoying it so much that he became a counselor and then worked there for a time as well. Another story was about clearing some land for a new building and after struggling with a stump for hours, they ended up using dynamite! Apparently, the story has grown to where one version has the stump almost hitting a boat in the lake. I believe there was a stump and dynamite, but not sure about the rest of the details.

Probably the story with the most impact was when Dave shared about the red hands and green hands. During camp if campers make a decision to follow Christ for the first time or rededicate their lives they dip their hands in paint and leave a hand print on a long sheet of paper. Dave brought one of the sheets with, but there were two others still at camp.

These hand prints are signs of impacted lives!

While we are able to impact hundreds of lives a year, our opportunities are limited to our resources. These are great days for the camp and we are excited at how God continues to provide! Please consider sharing of your time (volunteer for a week of camp), talent (participate in a work day) and treasure (make a generous gift).

Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers!
